Two ME Students Awarded
the 2007 DOE Technical Internship Career Program
Awards
The Office
of Student Development announced today that two
Mechanical Engineering
students have been awarded the 2007 Department
of Energy Technical Internship Career Program Awards.
Michael Ducker, Sophomore,
mechanical engineering and Justin Weber, Sophomore,
Mechanical Engineering, are
this year's students chosen to participate in this
program funded by the Department of Energy to encourage
students to pursue a career in energy at the Department
of Energy.
Three internships are offered
each year to sophomores in science and engineering
fields related to energy. The program consists
of two summer internships, tuition coverage during
the junior and senior year and guaranteed employment
at the Department of Energy after completion of
the program and graduation.
