Mentoring Program

For current students, learn more about the PSMES Mentoring Program here.

The Department of Mechanical Engineering and the Penn State Mechanical Engineering Society (PSMES) jointly sponsor the Mechanical Engineering Mentoring Program to facilitate the professional development of mechanical engineering students by providing guidance, counsel and networking opportunities. Mentors interact with their student mentees on a one-to-one basis using an agreed-upon method of communication.

Become a Mentor

To participate in the mentoring program, please fill out and submit this form. Using this information, PSMES makes a match and notifies the mentor and student. The student is asked to make initial contact. If either the student or the mentor ever feels that the match is ineffective, a new match can be made upon request. The mentoring relationship is also formally re-evaluated at the end of the first year.
