Designing for Compliance

Digital Badge Workshop

Designing for Compliance is both a philosophy and methodology that integrates regulatory and regional code requirements into all aspects of the product development process. In today’s highly regulated markets and industries, products and components must meet stringent safety and performance requirements and be certified in advance of being placed in the market. In this workshop, you will use actual product and component examples to determine the critical design and performance testing criteria required to achieve certification in multiple industries. You will also discuss the rationale and document the criteria in a cross-functional test matrix.

Additional Information:

Many industrial products are highly regulated and being familiar with the key regulatory inputs that drive product design as well as understanding the impact of codes and standards on product innovation will give you a distinct competitive advantage both among your peers and in the markets in which you will conduct business.  This digital badge also offers you an opportunity to apply these principles in the development of a product testing and qualification plan that serves as a compliance model for validating the final design.
