Bio

On August 15, Justin Schwartz, Harold and Inge Marcus Dean in the College of Engineering, began serving as the interim executive vice president and provost for Penn State.

Justin Schwartz is the Harold and Inge Marcus Dean in the College of Engineering and a professor of engineering science and materials science and engineering. Before joining Penn State in 2017, Schwartz was Kobe Steel Distinguished Professor and head of the department of materials science and engineering at North Carolina State University. Schwartz’s research interests include superconducting, magnetic and multiferroic materials and the systems they enable.
